Georgetown sits at the north edge of the Austin metro in Williamson County, and it has ranked among the fastest-growing cities in the country for most of the past decade, adding subdivisions, warehouses and shop buildings faster than almost anywhere else in Texas. The east side of the city sits on Blackland Prairie clay, a soil that swells when it is wet and shrinks hard through a Central Texas summer, so slabs move and untreated concrete cracks unless a coating system is built to flex with it.
