The system
How we rank
FloorRank is a directory of Texas floor coating companies, built and run by WebKing. We researched 583 companies across 60 Texas metros and 6 floor systems from public sources, then put them in order by market and by system. Here's what that order is, and what it isn't.
The most important thing to know comes first. New Era Epoxy Flooring is a WebKing client, and we place it at or near the top of the boards in the markets it works. ESD Flooring Texas lists the same phone number as New Era. Those places aren't the result of a comparison with the other crews. The rest of the order is our own editorial judgment from the research. There's no formula behind it and no numeric score, so treat a board as a starting list and check any crew yourself before you hire.
From the whole field to your match
Every ranking runs through the same four steps, the same way, in every market we cover.
Research
For every market we look for the floor coating companies working there and read what's published about them: their own sites, directories and, where we can find them, review profiles.
Order
We set the order ourselves, market by market and system by system. It's an editorial call rather than a calculation, and the client placement above is part of it.
Publish
Each system gets its own board in each market. A crew can lead Houston epoxy and not appear on San Antonio polishing, because those are separate boards.
Connect
Tell us about your project and the request comes to the FloorRank team at WebKing, not straight to a crew. We use it to connect you with a crew for your area, which may be New Era Epoxy Flooring. It's free.
What a listing shows you
These are the details we record for a crew, as we found them. Each one is yours to check.
Ratings and reviews
A rating or review count we found published. Check the original before you rely on one, and a blank means we didn't find one.
Floor systems
The systems a crew says it installs. Each one is its own board.
Service area
The markets a crew is based in or says it works.
Years in business
A founding year, where one is published.
Sources
The pages we read, so you can check the listing against them yourself.
Boards get updated
We add crews and correct listings as the research turns things up, and a crew that finds a mistake on its own listing can send a correction for free.
We keep a weekly record of every board, so a change in position is something we can see rather than something we guess at.
A board is a starting point. The right crew still depends on your slab, finish and deadline.
Recorded weekly
Each week we save where every crew sits on every board, which is where the movement marks beside a crew come from.
What we refuse to do
These are the limits we hold to on every board.
We never fabricate
We don't invent review counts, certifications or stats. If we couldn't find it published, we leave it blank.
We stay local
Floors are a local trade, so the boards are built market by market.
Your listing is yours
If a listing is yours, you can correct it or take it down for free.
A note on the data
Company details come from public sources and get refreshed regularly. Where something isn't verified, we leave it blank rather than guess. Ratings and review counts reflect what we could confirm at research time. Run one of these companies and spot something off? Reach out and we will correct it.
Don’t hand your floor to whoever answers the phone first.
Tell us the job and your city. Your request comes to the FloorRank team first, and we use it to connect you with a crew for your area.
