Terms of Use

FloorRank is an independent directory. We research Texas floor coating companies from public sources, score them, and publish the results. Right now that's 540 companies across 60 Texas markets, on six separate boards, one per flooring system.

We are not a flooring contractor and we don't install anything. We publish rankings and, when you ask, we pass your project to a company we rank.

Every position on every board is our editorial opinion, formed from the signals described on our methodology page. It is not a certification, not an endorsement, not a warranty about any company's work, and not professional advice.

A high rank does not promise you a good outcome, and a low rank or no listing is not a statement that a company is bad. Do your own checks before you hire anyone: ask for a licence where one is required, ask for proof of insurance, and ask for references.

If we introduce you to a company, any agreement, quote, payment, schedule, workmanship and warranty is strictly between you and that company. We are not a party to it. We do not supervise the work, we do not hold your money, and we are not responsible for what a company does or fails to do.

Disputes about a job go to the company you hired. You can still tell us what happened, and it may affect how that company is scored.

Listings are built from information companies publish themselves and from public business listings. Every profile shows where we read it and the date we compiled it.

Public information goes out of date and sometimes it is simply wrong. If something on your listing is incorrect, or you would rather not be listed at all, use the listing control form and we will correct it or take it down. There is no fee and you do not need a reason.

No company can pay us to rank higher, and we do not sell placement, sponsored positions or advertising slots on any board. If that ever changes we will say so on this page and on the methodology page before it takes effect.

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it is free of errors or always online. To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and everything on it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or from any introduction made through it, including lost profits, lost business or the cost of work performed by a company you found here.

When you submit a form you confirm the information is accurate and that you are allowed to send it. If you submit a company, you confirm you are authorised to act for that company.

Rankings change as the underlying information changes, and we may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
