Best Metallic & Flake Epoxy in Waco

What a metallic floor has to survive in Waco

• McLennan County sits in the Texas Blackland Prairies, where the native black clay soil has vertisol properties, shrinking and swelling with moisture and forming deep cracks in dry weather that can damage buildings and slabs. [1]
• Waco has a humid subtropical climate with a record high of 114 degrees Fahrenheit set July 23, 2018, and a record low of -5 degrees Fahrenheit set January 31, 1949, a swing that puts real thermal stress on outdoor slabs and coated floors. [2]
• Greater Waco's employer base includes SpaceX, which runs a rocket engine test site in nearby McGregor with about 590 employees, and L3Harris (L3 Technologies), an aerospace and defense manufacturer with about 774 employees in Waco. [3]
• A 120,000 square foot Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages distribution center opened in the Waco area in February 2025, and Amazon opened a new delivery station in nearby Robinson in October 2025, both new industrial buildings needing a floor system. [4]
• Waco's population reached an estimated 147,788 in 2025, with the metro area at 308,807, and the city sits roughly 90 minutes from both Austin and Dallas on Interstate 35. [5]

What “ranked” actually measures

• ANSI/ESD S20.20: static dissipative flooring tests from 1.0 x 10^6 to 1.0 x 10^9 ohms to ground, conductive flooring tops out at 1.0 x 10^6 ohms, and a person walking on it stays under 100 volts [source]
• ASTM F1869: a slab gets a calcium chloride moisture test before a moisture-sensitive coating goes down, and the coating manufacturer sets the pass limit [source]
• ICRI 310.2: surface prep is graded on a 1 to 9 CSP profile before an epoxy, urethane or MMA coating gets bonded to it [source]
